AutoBlue – Automatically disable Bluetooth if no Devices are Connected

Using Bluetooth is great. It provides hand-free communication and the luxury of listening to music without the hassle of tangled wires. It’s easy and convenient to use.

The few downsides to Bluetooth are the battery usage and security. It’s easy to forget to turn off Bluetooth and leave your device open to any potential security threats. It also ends up draining your battery.

A useful tweak

Fortunately, there is a simple, yet very effective tweak called “AutoBlue”. This tweak allows users to set a time limit. If Bluetooth is on for that time limit without any devices being connected, it will automatically turn off Bluetooth. This will ensure prevention of battery drainage and others from having possible access to your device.

How to get it

To install this tweak, follow these steps:

  • Open Cydia
  • Go to Sources > Edit > Add
  • Type in “http://karimo299.github.io/repo/”
  • Tap “Return to Cydia” and search for ‘AutoBlue’
  • It should be under the Karimo299 repo
  • Tap Install > Confirm > “Restart Springboard”

Features and Usage

After your device resprings, go to settings and scroll down to “AutoBlue”. You can now:

  • Enable/disable the tweak

Make sure to tap “Respring” after adjusting the settings to your liking. You now have a simple tweak that helps save battery and promotes safety to your device.
